Bloomberg Analyst: Bitcoin Spot ETF May Repeat Gold ETF Cycle

Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas noted in a recent report that the trajectory of gold ETFs over the past 22 years could provide important insights for Bitcoin ETFs. Both gold and Bitcoin ETFs are packaged products of "non-yielding assets," lacking dividends, interest payments, or government backing, with prices primarily driven by investor sentiment. The report mentioned that the leading gold ETF, GLD, once became the largest ETF in the world, followed by about eight years of sluggish consolidation, but each cycle's peak has seen an increase. Balchunas believes that Bitcoin ETFs may similarly experience a repetitive cycle of "rapid ascent - sharp pullback - prolonged recovery," with peaks gradually rising with each cycle.
