Digital Renminbi App Launches Offline Code Feature
The Digital Renminbi App has launched an offline code feature, suitable for scenarios with limited network access such as subways, large venues, and outdoor areas. The Digital Renminbi Operations Management Center stated that the digital wallets of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of Communications, Postal Savings Bank of China, and Industrial Bank have supported this feature, with plans to expand to more operating institutions in the future. Tests have shown that when the network is interrupted or the signal is weak, the system will automatically generate an offline code, allowing users to present payment with a single click without manual settings. When using the offline code, users must ensure that the small amount no-password feature is activated and are advised to enable the pay-as-you-go function in advance to facilitate smooth payments when the balance is insufficient.
