Government Cancels Creation of Coordination Center for Reserving Military Personnel

The new government canceled the previous Cabinet's decision to establish a Coordination Center for Reserving Military Personnel on July 22. Member of Parliament Olga Vasilyevskaya-Smaglyuk reported that the center was supposed to coordinate the reserving process and provide recommendations for identifying critically important enterprises. The initiative caused a stir, with businesses and experts fearing that the new body would complicate the reserving procedure. The previous government had adopted a resolution to establish the center during the mobilization period; however, the announcement was removed from the Ministry of Economy's website. All enterprises with critically important status are required to re-confirm it under new criteria by September 1, 2026. If an enterprise fails to pass the re-confirmation, its status will be revoked, leading to the loss of deferments for employees. The financial criteria have been updated: the average salary must be at least three minimum wages — 25,941 UAH. For enterprises in combat zones, the threshold is set at 2.5 minimum wages — 21,618 UAH. Employees working part-time are counted in the reserving quota only based on their primary place of employment.
