International Digital Asset Committee to Host 2026 Digital Asset Awards on September 18
The International Digital Asset Committee announced that it will hold the '2026 Digital Asset Awards' on September 18 at 3 PM at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul. This award ceremony will be linked to the 'Techtainment 2026 Seoul: Forum & Awards' themed around 'AI in K-Culture'. The Digital Asset Awards (DAA) have been recognizing individuals, institutions, services, and content that have contributed to the development of the digital asset industry since 2021. This year, the scope of digital assets will be expanded to include not only financial assets but also the value of activities by creators and content utilizing AI. To this end, a global competition will be held to discover creations and artists using AI. The competition will be divided into three categories: AI Visual Media Artists, AI Music Artists, and AI Creative Experience Artists, with winners selected through internal judging and online public voting. IDAC Chairman Won Eun-seok emphasized that digital assets are expanding into areas that connect creation and experience, technology, and content. Key dates include online public voting from September 1 to 10, vote verification and result confirmation on September 11, final result announcement on September 12, and the forum, exhibition, and award ceremony on September 18.
