Mainstream CEX and DEX Funding Rates Indicate Bearish Market Sentiment

On July 18, Coinglass data showed that as Bitcoin slightly strengthened and maintained its fluctuations, the current funding rates for mainstream CEX and DEX indicate a broadly bearish market. The funding rate is a fee set by cryptocurrency trading platforms to maintain the balance between contract prices and the prices of underlying assets, applicable to perpetual contracts. It serves as a mechanism for capital exchange between long and short traders, and trading platforms do not charge this fee. A funding rate of 0.01% is considered the baseline rate; rates above 0.01% indicate a generally bullish market, while rates below 0.005% indicate a generally bearish market.
