Manufacturers Launch Series Production of Gereon Unmanned Systems for Ukraine
German companies DEUTZ and ARX Robotics are launching series production of the Gereon unmanned ground systems at their factory in Ulm. The first platforms are planned to be delivered to Ukraine by the end of summer 2026. Series production will begin in the coming weeks. Marco Gerre, CEO of DEUTZ's defense division, noted that increasing capacity and partnering with ARX Robotics will support Ukraine and strengthen European defense policy. ARX Robotics develops unmanned ground systems, and the partnership with DEUTZ was established in October 2025. The agreement includes the integration of DEUTZ powertrains into ARX Robotics systems, starting with battery electric drives and, in the future, with internal combustion engines or hybrid systems. The companies will also develop an interface to connect the ARX Robotics software platform Mithra OS with DEUTZ power systems to optimize the operation of robots on the battlefield. It was previously reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces will receive hundreds of German unmanned platforms Gereon.
