Odesa Region to Receive Energy Equipment Worth €130.7 Million

The Odesa region will receive critical energy equipment worth €130.7 million from the Energy Support Fund. Contracts worth €41.2 million have been signed, with equipment worth €26.5 million already delivered to the region. Support for the region's energy sector has been ongoing since 2022, during which enterprises have received 563.1 tons of humanitarian aid, including 262.4 tons in 2026. Equipment has been delivered, including generators, transformers, and solar panels. The region is increasing its own generation capacity, creating new facilities with a total of 94.8 MW supported by UNDP. Eleven cogeneration units, four generation units, four gas piston units, and one gas turbine unit have been purchased and delivered. The Japanese agency JICA has delivered 24 generators with a total capacity of 4.18 MW. Additionally, 15 hospitals are being supplied with electricity, six of which already have solar power plants with a capacity of 0.83 MW. Preparations for winter are proceeding as planned, with oversight of task completion being conducted.
