Pons Fees Reach $4.73 Million, Surpassing Major Platform Fees
Pons recorded fees of $4.73 million in a single day on the 1st. This figure is attributed to trading activities on the Robinhood chain-based token launchpad, exceeding the fees of major on-chain platforms in the short term. Bubblemaps reported that Pons' fees surpassed the combined fees of approximately $3.461 million from three platforms: Hyperliquid (HYPE), Polymarket, and Fomo. The fees from Pons also exceeded the total fees of about $4.65 million from the Robinhood chain, BSC, and Solana (SOL) networks. Pons serves as a launchpad that allows the creation and trading of fixed-supply tokens on the Robinhood chain, with the V1 fees including a 1% token swap fee and a token launch fee of 0.0005 Ethereum (ETH). The launchpad enables the issuance of new tokens and the initiation of initial trades, with fees subject to change based on trading volume. This increase in fees indicates that Pons is attracting trading demand beyond being a mere token issuance tool. However, it cannot be concluded that the fee figures alone indicate an expansion of the user base or long-term market share changes. Whether Pons' fee flow leads to sustained activity within the Robinhood chain ecosystem will need to be confirmed through future trends in fees, trading volume, and token issuance.
