Russia Strikes Dnipro Metallurgical Plant
On the night of September 5, 2026, Russian forces launched a missile strike on the Dnipro Metallurgical Plant (DMP). Employees managed to take shelter, and there were no casualties. The strike damaged industrial and administrative facilities of the plant, and the extent of the damage is being assessed. Specialists from the State Emergency Service and police are working at the site. The Russian army continues its attacks on Ukraine's metallurgical industry. On the same night, a ballistic strike was carried out on the Kametstal plant in Kamianske, resulting in five deaths and four injuries. According to Metinvest, the agglomeration production, energy, and transport infrastructure were damaged. Due to the damage, the plant has completely halted operations. Earlier, on August 27, Russian forces attacked the Zaporizhstal metallurgical plant, where five missiles hit a previously damaged area, resulting in the deaths of seven workers.
