Social NFT Platform Rodeo Announces Phased Shutdown
BlockBeats News, January 28th, Social NFT platform Rodeo announced that it will shut down gradually, becoming the second NFT platform to announce closure this week.
It is reported that Rodeo was launched in March last year through the Apple iOS store, supported by the Farcaster social graph, and focused on a social-centric NFT collecting experience. The platform's co-founder and CEO stated that although the product was highly loved by the core community, it failed to achieve the scale growth required for sustainable operation, and therefore could not continue to operate. During the period from January 27th to February 10th, the platform will continue to operate normally, then switch to read-only mode, and will be completely closed on March 10th.
Rodeo has developed a user asset and data migration plan, including support for transferring media and metadata to the storage platform Arweave, and providing an asset migration assistant to guide users in transferring assets out of the platform's smart contract.
