SpaceX Starship Test Flight Successful, Stock Hits Lowest Level

SpaceX successfully completed its 13th test flight of the Starship, but its stock has fallen to the lowest level since going public. The market is focusing on the uncertainty surrounding the commercialization and profitability of the Starship. On the 27th, SpaceX's stock dropped to $109.53 during trading, marking an all-time low. This figure is about 18% lower than the IPO price of $135 set on the 12th of last month, and it is half of the record high of $225.64 reached in June. The Starship conducted its 13th test flight at the Starbase in Texas on the 25th, successfully deploying 20 next-generation Starlink V3 satellites. However, some engines of the Super Heavy booster failed to ignite, resulting in a landing that was stronger than expected. SpaceX plans to attempt upper-stage capture using the Mechazilla tower in the next test of the Starship. Investors are expressing concerns over the declining stock price and are evaluating SpaceX's long-term competitiveness. According to Bloomberg, SpaceX has halted dedicated Falcon 9 launch contracts after 2028 and has also stopped the production of some components to strengthen its Starship-centric strategy.
