Super League Raises $2.3 Million Through Market Price Stock Issuance
Super League ($SLE) has raised $2.3 million through an At-the-Market (ATM) stock issuance. This funding marks the first ATM capital raise since Metaplanet established its U.S. Bitcoin financial subsidiary. Super League announced that it raised funds through the ATM issuance following a related transaction announcement at 3:43 PM KST on the 24th. An ATM allows publicly traded companies to sell common shares at market prices through brokerage firms on an ongoing basis. This funding is related to Metaplanet's expansion in the U.S., and Super League is described as the Bitcoin financial subsidiary of Japan's Metaplanet in the U.S. Metaplanet is raising funds through capital markets across two continents. Super League is traded on NASDAQ under the ticker SLE, and following news of Metaplanet's investment of 2,100 BTC, its stock rose by over 20% in pre-market trading. This ATM funding represents a case where a publicly traded company pursuing a Bitcoin financial strategy has secured additional liquidity in the stock market, although the specific uses for the $2.3 million raised have not been disclosed.
