Trucks Waiting at the Border for Over 6 Days, 4,948 Vehicles in Line
Shelling of the ports of Greater Odessa has redirected cargo traffic to road routes, overloading land border crossings. As of August 6, there are 4,948 trucks waiting at 38 border crossings with five neighboring countries, with waiting times exceeding 6 days. Nearly 87% of the entire queue, which amounts to 4,306 vehicles, is concentrated on the Polish route. Delays have been recorded on the following routes: Yagodyn -- Dorohusk (weighing over 7.5 tons) -- 1,357 vehicles, waiting time 6 days 11 hours; Shehyni -- Medyka (empty weighing over 3.5 tons) -- 492 vehicles, waiting 4 days 18 hours; Shehyni - Medyka (weighing over 7.5 tons) - 374 vehicles, waiting 4 days 9 hours; Orlivka -- Isakcha (weighing over 3.5 tons) -- 308 vehicles, waiting 2 days 16 hours; Rava-Ruska -- Pozvonochnoye (weighing over 7.5 tons) -- 430 vehicles, waiting 2 days 14 hours. The "Evzhera" system for trucks has reduced waiting times at the border by 70%, allowing savings of over 60 million euros per month.
