Trump Announces Hamas Agrees to Disarm, Israel to Withdraw

On July 31, President Trump announced that the Peace Committee has reached a historic agreement to fully disarm Hamas and all armed groups in Gaza. This agreement marks an important step towards governance of Gaza by a new Palestinian government, which will work with the Peace Committee to assist the Palestinian people. Israel will receive security guarantees, and Gaza will no longer be used as a base for terrorist attacks. This agreement is a significant milestone in the implementation of Trump's 20-point plan, which will be carried out in a carefully designed phased approach. After disarmament is completed, Israeli troops will withdraw, and international stabilization forces will cooperate with the new Palestinian police force to ensure security in Gaza. Trump stated that historic progress has been made, but there is still much work to be done.
