Ukraine's Trade Turnover Reached $92.9 Billion in Eight Months of 2026
In January-August 2026, Ukraine's total trade turnover reached $92.9 billion. Imports amounted to nearly $66.3 billion, while exports exceeded $26.6 billion. Taxable imports totaled $46.8 billion, accounting for 71% of the total volume of imported goods. The tax burden per kilogram of taxable imports was $0.60. The main suppliers of goods to Ukraine were China (over $19.6 billion), Poland (almost $6.3 billion), and Germany (nearly $4.4 billion). The largest volumes of Ukrainian products were exported to Poland (over $3.2 billion), Turkey (almost $2.1 billion), and Germany (more than $1.7 billion). More than 73% of imports consisted of machinery, equipment, and transport (over $29.9 billion), fuel and energy products (over $9.5 billion), and chemical industry products (over $4.9 billion). The bulk of exports consisted of food products (over $15.4 billion), metals and products made from them (around $2.7 billion), as well as machinery, equipment, and transport (around $2.4 billion).
