AMBTS IPO Fails Due to Court Ruling

By: www.crypto-insiders.nl|2026/09/09 08:48:03

The IPO of the Dutch bitcoin company AMBTS has been rejected by the highest administrative court, which sided with the financial regulator AFM in the dispute over the company's legal status. The submitted prospectus has not been approved, preventing AMBTS from listing its shares on the Euronext exchange. The court ruled that AMBTS is legally considered an investment institution, meaning that the prospectus must meet specific information requirements. AMBTS had ambitions to own at least 210,000 bitcoins, which equates to 1 percent of the total number of bitcoins that can ever exist. The AFM refused to approve the prospectus because it did not meet the requirements. The ruling on September 8 is final, marking the end of the legal attempt to get the prospectus approved.
