BlockSec: SwapNet and Aperture Finance Lose $17 Million in Attack Due to Insufficient Input Validation
BlockBeats News, January 28th, the root cause of the SwapNet and Aperture Finance hack was that the vulnerable contract exposed arbitrary call capability due to inadequate input validation, allowing the attacker to abuse existing token approvals and invoke transferFrom to steal assets. SwapNet and Aperture Finance lost $17 million on January 26th due to a security vulnerability.
