How 30+ Global Sponsors Powered WEEX AI Trading Hackathon Into a $1.88M Carnival
Following weeks of competitive preliminary rounds and an intense final showdown, AI Wars: WEEX Alpha Awakens Global AI Hackathon has reached its closing stage. The event is now undergoing final result verification, with official rankings expected to be revealed soon.
More than just a contest, the WEEX AI Trading Hackathon brought together technology leaders, Web3 innovators, and AI pioneers in a large-scale collaboration. 30+ sponsors from both Web2 and Web3 sectors contributed to the event, helping to expand WEEX’s global influence and move AI trading closer to real-market adoption.
How Global Tech and Web3 Sponsors Strengthened the WEEX AI Trading Hackathon
The success of the WEEX AI Hackathon came from strong cross-industry collaboration. Sponsors from diverse sectors joined the event, demonstrating its high professional standards.
Leading Web2 technology providers — including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Tencent Cloud, and Alibaba Cloud — provided powerful cloud infrastructure, while Web3 data and infrastructure platforms such as CoinGecko and RootData supported participants with essential market intelligence. At the same time, AI trading and AI agent innovators including Hubble AI, Cryptoracle and RGAI contributed advanced tools and technical insight, alongside prediction market leaders ForeGate and EveryX.
Beyond the aforementioned partners, the hackathon also welcomed meme projects, developer communities, and Web3 data infrastructure platforms, forming a broad and diverse ecosystem around AI trading innovation. The participation of sponsors across so many verticals not only elevated the professional level of the competition but also significantly strengthened WEEX’s brand credibility.
Together, they helped position the WEEX AI Hackathon as a high-impact industry event, expanding its global reach and reinforcing WEEX’s role as a connector between AI technology, trading innovation, and the wider crypto ecosystem.
$1.88M Prize Pool and AWS Cloud Credits: Inside the WEEX AI Trading Competition
The prize pool totaling $1.88 million, our esteemed sponsors transformed the hackathon into a real-market testing ground. Their contributions provided participants with essential resources, including cloud computing credits, API and market data access, joint social media campaigns, and offline venue support.
Among them, Amazon Web Services (AWS) exclusively contributed $1 million in AWS Activate Credits. This support gave teams the computing power needed to build, test, and scale AI trading systems under realistic market conditions.
In addition to technical support, the hackathon featured one of the most competitive reward structures in the industry. Alongside WEEX’s position airdrop incentives, the Bentley Bentayga S grand prize worth $500,000 significantly raised the stakes, attracting high-quality traders, developers, and AI strategy builders from around the world. The combination of substantial sponsorship resources and premium rewards elevated both participation standards and competitive intensity, helping make the WEEX AI Hackathon a benchmark event known for its professionalism, innovation, and dynamic competition atmosphere.
How Sponsors Expanded AI Trading Adoption Through Workshops and AMAs
Beyond infrastructure support, our partners have played an active role in community engagement. Through online AMA sessions and offline workshops, they helped introduce AI trading concepts to a wider audience and encouraged deeper user participation.
These activities strengthened trading education, promoted practical understanding of AI strategies, and significantly enhanced WEEX’s brand visibility across global communities. By sharing expertise directly with traders and developers, sponsors helped bridge the gap between technology and real user adoption.
WEEX AI Trading Hackathon Season 2: What to Expect in May
Beyond prizes and technology, this hackathon demonstrated how collaboration can accelerate ecosystem growth. Exchanges, AI companies, prediction platforms, developers, and creators worked together to push AI strategies from theory into live market validation.
The WEEX AI Hackathon marks the beginning of a long-term journey rather than a single event. WEEX looks forward to reuniting with many of the partners who supported this edition in Season 2 this May, while also welcoming new collaborators to join the growing AI trading ecosystem.
Thank you, our valued partners — you made this hackathon a true success!

Mixin has launched USTD-margined perpetual contracts, bringing derivative trading into the chat scene.
The privacy-focused crypto wallet Mixin announced today the launch of its U-based perpetual contract (a derivative priced in USDT). Unlike traditional exchanges, Mixin has taken a new approach by "liberating" derivative trading from isolated matching engines and embedding it into the instant messaging environment.
Users can directly open positions within the app with leverage of up to 200x, while sharing positions, discussing strategies, and copy trading within private communities. Trading, social interaction, and asset management are integrated into the same interface.
Based on its non-custodial architecture, Mixin has eliminated friction from the traditional onboarding process, allowing users to participate in perpetual contract trading without identity verification.
The trading process has been streamlined into five steps:
· Choose the trading asset
· Select long or short
· Input position size and leverage
· Confirm order details
· Confirm and open the position
The interface provides real-time visualization of price, position, and profit and loss (PnL), allowing users to complete trades without switching between multiple modules.
Mixin has directly integrated social features into the derivative trading environment. Users can create private trading communities and interact around real-time positions:
· End-to-end encrypted private groups supporting up to 1024 members
· End-to-end encrypted voice communication
· One-click position sharing
· One-click trade copying
On the execution side, Mixin aggregates liquidity from multiple sources and accesses decentralized protocol and external market liquidity through a unified trading interface.
By combining social interaction with trade execution, Mixin enables users to collaborate, share, and execute trading strategies instantly within the same environment.
Mixin has also introduced a referral incentive system based on trading behavior:
· Users can join with an invite code
· Up to 60% of trading fees as referral rewards
· Incentive mechanism designed for long-term, sustainable earnings
This model aims to drive user-driven network expansion and organic growth.
Mixin's derivative transactions are built on top of its existing self-custody wallet infrastructure, with core features including:
· Separation of transaction account and asset storage
· User full control over assets
· Platform does not custody user funds
· Built-in privacy mechanisms to reduce data exposure
The system aims to strike a balance between transaction efficiency, asset security, and privacy protection.
Against the background of perpetual contracts becoming a mainstream trading tool, Mixin is exploring a different development direction by lowering barriers, enhancing social and privacy attributes.
The platform does not only view transactions as execution actions but positions them as a networked activity: transactions have social attributes, strategies can be shared, and relationships between individuals also become part of the financial system.
Mixin's design is based on a user-initiated, user-controlled model. The platform neither custodies assets nor executes transactions on behalf of users.
This model aligns with a statement issued by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on April 13, 2026, titled "Staff Statement on Whether Partial User Interface Used in Preparing Cryptocurrency Securities Transactions May Require Broker-Dealer Registration."
The statement indicates that, under the premise where transactions are entirely initiated and controlled by users, non-custodial service providers that offer neutral interfaces may not need to register as broker-dealers or exchanges.
Mixin is a decentralized, self-custodial privacy wallet designed to provide secure and efficient digital asset management services.
Its core capabilities include:
· Aggregation: integrating multi-chain assets and routing between different transaction paths to simplify user operations
· High liquidity access: connecting to various liquidity sources, including decentralized protocols and external markets
· Decentralization: achieving full user control over assets without relying on custodial intermediaries
· Privacy protection: safeguarding assets and data through MPC, CryptoNote, and end-to-end encrypted communication
Mixin has been in operation for over 8 years, supporting over 40 blockchains and more than 10,000 assets, with a global user base exceeding 10 million and an on-chain self-custodied asset scale of over $1 billion.
