Indeed Monthly Active Users Increase by 18%, AI Support Accounts for 70%
As of March 2026, the monthly active users of Indeed, the job platform of Recruit Holdings, increased by 18% compared to the same month last year, with AI recommendations and tool-based support accounting for 70% of all applications. Recruit Holdings reported revenues of 3.6973 trillion yen, operating income of 630.5 billion yen, and net income of 496.9 billion yen for the fiscal year 2025, and provided guidance for fiscal year 2026 with projected revenues of 4.03 trillion yen and operating income of 787 billion yen. Indeed views AI as a matching engine that connects job seekers and employers, with AI recommendations and tool-based applications making up 70%, while keyword search-based applications account for 30%. On average, 31 people were hired per minute through the platform in 2025, an increase from 27 the previous year. Recruit Holdings emphasized that AI capabilities serve as a key infrastructure to enhance hiring conversion rates. However, concerns were acknowledged that the spread of AI could reduce employment levels and the number of job postings. The number of job postings on Indeed in the U.S. for fiscal year 2026 is expected to decrease by about 4%, but revenues in the HR technology sector are projected to increase by 13.6%.
