On the 27th, Strategy announced that it raised funds by selling its own shares while deciding to postpone additional purchases of cryptocurrency.

Raising Huge Funds Through Stock Sales

From July 20 to 26, the company sold approximately 5.42 million shares of Class A common stock (MSTR). Through this sale, it generated a net revenue of $544.5 million (approximately 89.29 billion yen).

On the other hand, no cryptocurrency purchases were made during this period. The company's Bitcoin (BTC) holdings remain at 843,775 BTC.

The total acquisition cost so far amounts to $63.69 billion (approximately 10.4451 trillion yen), with an average acquisition price of $75,476 per BTC (approximately 12.378 million yen), including fees.

The company utilizes stock issuance as a means of fundraising. The temporary halt in Bitcoin purchases has been ongoing for several weeks.

There is a growing perception in the market that the company is prioritizing securing cash on hand.

Buyback of Preferred Shares and Expansion of Reserves

During the same period, the company repurchased approximately 280,000 preferred shares (STRC). The cost of the buyback was about $25 million (approximately 4.1 billion yen), with an average price of about $86.52 (approximately 14,189 yen).

The remaining balance for the digital credit security buyback program is approximately $975 million (approximately 159.9 billion yen). Additionally, the company's USD reserves have increased to $3.75 billion (approximately 615 billion yen).

According to comments from Strategy's Chairman Michael Saylor, this reserve can cover about 2.1 years of preferred stock dividend obligations. This reserve is not intended for stock buybacks.

The company is currently prioritizing improving financial flexibility over accumulating cryptocurrency. The proceeds from the stock sale are being allocated to the buyback of preferred shares and the expansion of reserves.

The management of cash on hand appears to be at the center of the current financial strategy. Meanwhile, other companies like Metaplannet are adopting similar strategies.
